Iloilo Color Festival

I thought of posting something recent like the Chameleon: Iloilo Color Festival which happened last Saturday. I noticed that I have a lot of backlogs and realized that I should perhaps blog right after I thought of something worth blogging so the backlogs won’t accumulate. Anyway, I was the party girl type back in college but there’s already a huge difference between the party scene in Iloilo 4-5 years ago and now. I can point them all out but I’m too lazy to organize my thoughts right now. Themed parties seem to be the fad nowadays. Last summer, there was this Summer Calling Wet and Wild Party (I’m not sure if that was what it was called) where the organizers rented some firetrucks, and well, you get the picture. There was also the Foam Party and the Stoplight Party.

Because my friends and I believe that we deserve to enjoy sometimes because we are already professionals, we planned to go to this Chameleon Party. It takes more effort now; we had to make sure who will come two weeks before because our schedule is plotted every two weeks. -_- Gone are the spontaneous Friday and Saturday nightouts.

Taken at 3am. The photographer was already pacing up but of course, Jolly had her way of asking him to take one last shot.

Still color-free with Tesha and Kath.

But of course, I had to take a picture with my college junior brother who apparently went home 30 minutes past midnight. -_-

It wasn’t only about being immersed in the music and being trapped in a prance. The party brought back memories of drunken nights years ago. It brought back memories of euphoria. It brought me to memory lane with the unplanned reunion I had with friends.

I also realized that I’d rather lounge in a coffee shop and drown myself with latte than party like this. Don’t get me wrong, I had fun, lots of fun! I can prove that by saying that I got home at 6 am with a stomach full of air due to excessive belly laughs. Okay, honestly, I still have the urge to party from time to time, just not the same back then.

Anyway, kudos to the organizers and I regret that I missed this:
