Pototan, a town about an hour-ride away, takes pride on their own Iwag Festival. In December, the towncenter is filled with Christmas lights. It’s the brightest town in Panay this time of the year. We arrived late and it rained so we did not have time to go around the other lighted figures.
The whole family rode on a sleigh. For only P15, you get to go around the plaza on this sleigh.
I managed to take a short video while we were on the sleigh. The plaza was huge so this was only a portion of it. Watch how the plaza glistens.
Visit Pototan and enjoy the lights with the family. You can bring rollerblades as there is a rink surrounding one of the gazebos. Bring a mat and some pica-pica so you can have a picnic under the lights. You can also enjoy good food such as barbeques and other grilled dishes in their food festival just across their plaza.
It’s always a great experience especially that not all houses set up Christmas lights nowadays. We didn’t even put up our Christmas tree at home!
