Chef’s Barrel Dining & Pub is another brainchild of Sir Larry and Chef Mau of Uncle Cheffy. The concept is based on American and European pubs where people usually rush after a hard day’s work for hearty meals with ice cold beer. It’s a combination of the pub experience and Filipino hospitality.
And I’m definitely down for pubs… even for lunch. LOL. The place doesn’t look exactly like my ideal picture of a pub. It would pass as a sports bar, but they sure have a broad selection of beers and wine.
This bestseller steak is a duo of Angus Top Blade and pork fillet mignon in Roquefort cheese sauce, cafe de paris, and potato vegetables confit. Unfortunately, we didn’t like the beef as much as we loved the tender and exquisite filet mignon.
Cheese and pizza lovers as we are, we finished the whole plate of pizza. But what stood out the most was the Fried Potato Wedges. If we weren’t so full, I think each of us could’ve finished a plate of the wedges.
I wish I can go back there soon to try their signature dishes. You can check out their menu so you can see how hearty everything looks like. One big plus is Chef Barrel’s location. After being satiated from hunger, you can take a relaxing walk at the River Park or Festival Mall.
Kudos to Sir Larry and Chef Mau, you two totally rock the food industry. 🙂
